Maya Romanoff's Wallcoverings

Mother of Pearl Wallcovering Beadazzled Glass Wallcovering

Maya Romanoff was among the first to experiment with unprecedented techniques and unimaginable materials, pioneering new surface materials for the design industry. Starting with his fascination with the tie-dye technique that inspired the hand-made, best seller Weathered Walls™ –we tout one of the largest selections of innovative wallcoverings for commercial and residential design. Our collection made of more than 21 materials includes Precious Metals™, created with genuine metal leaf and hand applied onto paper with chopsticks; Marquetry™, a decorative inlaid work of wood made from the renewable plantation grown Pawlonia tree; Harmony Vinyl, a luminous covering produced with layers of color and metallic on vinyl via a revolutionary Backlight Printing™ process and Mother of Pearl™, our newest introduction which consists of genuine shell hand inlaid into flexible, easy to install tiles.

In 2002, we took the world of design by storm with the launch of Beadazzled™ – a flexible beaded wall and surface material crafted from glass beads and created with our own patent-pending process. This unique material earned a prestigious permanent place in the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and has led to five new and exciting versions introduced in Spring 2005.
